Join us for our first meeting of the season on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 6:30pm at Camp Gleason, 261 Central Street, as we welcome the Gravestone Girls and their presentation “Welcome to the Graveyard”
From colonial New England burial grounds of the 1600s and 1700s, through the nation-wide rural cemetery movement of the 19th century and into the 21st century locations, the Gravestone Girls examine why we have cemeteries and gravestones, why they look like they do, and how styles and art have evolved over almost 400 years.
This event is free and open to the public.
