Events

Throughout the year, the Auburn Historical Society and Museum offers a variety of programs, special events, and fundraisers that help to preserve and share Auburn’s history.

Meetings

Our free public meetings are held in September, October, November, March, April, and May. Each meeting features a presentation on a historical topic. Some programs focus on Auburn’s history, while others explore broader historical subjects. Everyone is welcome to attend, and there is no admission fee.

Special Museum Openings

In addition to our regular hours (Tuesdays and Saturdays, 9:30am-12:30pm), we occasionally host special evening openings of the museum. These events provide another opportunity to visit the museum and often feature a new exhibit. Our next evening opening is Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 6:00pm-8:30pm. As with our normal hours, these openings are free and open to all.

Fundraisers

As we receive no funding from the town, we rely on membership dues, donations, and our fundraisers to remain open year-round and support our programs and events.

Summer Yard Sale
Held each year at the museum in early summer, our annual Yard Sale features a wide variety of pre-loved items donated specifically for the sale.

Parking Lot Craft Fair
Each August, local artisans and crafters rent parking spaces at the museum to showcase and sell their creations. Our next Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 8:00am-1:00pm. Harvest Dinner Fundraiser
Our largest fundraiser of the year, the Harvest Dinner, features a delicious catered meal, great company, and an exciting raffle with dozens of great prizes from gift cards to curated basket prizes, and more!
